Windows 10: SOME FEATURES NOT ABLE TO BE ENTERED IN MY PRODUCT KEY BOX

I bought my second hand computer with windows 10 pro working without knowing that my windows license will expire. To my lucky I have the product key which shows in my computer's control panel containing digits such as 0 and 1. The problem comes when I want to enter the product key it shows that the named features may not appear in the filed. I really don't know what to do because the notification that my windows license will expire soon keeps on showing on my computer which requires me to enter the product key. There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.

1. What is the version of Windows installed on your PC, is that Windows 10 Home or Pro?
2. Are you receiving any error message, when you are trying to activate your Windows 10?
3. Have you purchased the product key for Windows 10 while purchasing the laptop?
4. How did you run windows recovery?

License Transfer question


So I found this on the MS website.

Add Windows 8.1 Pro Pack or Windows 8.1 Media Center Pack to your edition of Windows 8.1

• Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
  (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.)
  
• Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.
  
• Tap or click Add features to Windows 8.1 and then do one of the following:
  
  • If you need to purchase a product key, tap or click I want to buy a product key online.
    Follow the steps to purchase and enter a product key.
    
  • If you already have a product key, tap or click I already have a product key.
• Enter your product key and click Next.
  
• Read the license terms, select the check box to accept the license terms, and then click Add features.
  
  
  Would this be the way to do it? And would it matter that this would be the US version and not UK?
