Windows 10: Some Icons not showing on taskbar

I am running Windows 10 Pro

Problem is some icons are not showing / blank when related programs are open. It only affects some random programs like Microsoft Store, Image Glass.. etc. and I don't remember when did this issue exactly started to happen. I also googled it and tried all the clearing icon cache solutions but to no avail. I've been searching for a working fix for a long time an it's really annoying and frustrating. Also I'm not keen on resetting on reinstalling the entire system for this Any suggestions?

System Icons on taskbar

Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Taskbar icons

Hi,

To address your concern, follow the steps below on how to show hidden icons on the taskbar.

• Open Settings, and click on the Personalization
  icon.
• Click on Taskbar on the left side, and click on the
  Select which icons appear on the taskbar link under the Notification area section on the right.
• Turn on Always show all icons in the notification area at the top

Photoshop icon is not showing on taskbar

Hi again and sorry that the previous troubleshooting didn't work as intended.

I found some alternatives that aren't harmful to your system to execute and could be of good use. As referred from

Step 1. Click on the "Windows" key and type "Powershell".

Step 2. Right-click on the Powershell option in the output list and click on "Run as administrator" option from the drop-down menu to launch it with admin privileges.

Step 3. Now copy-paste the following command in the blue Powershell dialogue box:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

The process will take some time to execute the output successfully.

Step 4. After the command line has been executed, trace the following location: C:/Users/name/AppData/Local/ Replace the "name" with your user account name and make sure that your hidden files showing feature is enabled.

Step 5. Now scroll down the list of options and find out the file named "TileDataLayer" and simply delete the folder.

Now, move back to the system home screen and check if the icons have re-appeared or not on the taskbar.
