  1. Some of the notification area icons don't match the associated program

I have two problems with my new laptop Windows 10 Pro.

    1. Using "Select what icons appear on the taskbar" I selected the program icon 'Directory Opus'.

When I boot my computer, the icon never appears in the notification area. If I manually open the program using the start menu, Opus opens and the

icon appears in the notification area. The icon will now start the program whenever it's clicked and will stay there until I power down.

The icon should be there whenever I power up. I shouldn't have to open the program first.

    2. When I open the "Select what icons appear on the taskbar" several of the program icons are blank solid blue color and some of the programs have

the wrong icon, e.g. Skype program with the NVIDIA icon picture.

Does anyone know of a way to correct these problems?

Thanks for your help and time.

I have photos that show the problem but there's no way to attach them to this email.

Suggestion to have an option to change Notification Area icon this way too.
Suggestion to finally have proper separate Options window like most (all?) Windows programs do.

    Startup and Notification area

R]I ran this batch file, but it did not help (which I understand, because Task Manager > Processes does NOT show WinDates).

I am back to the conclusion that Win 10 can run WinDates manually, but not automatically at startup (via link). If I double-click on the link C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\WinDates.lnk, WinDates opens fine.

My next step will be to run a scan of system files to see if something is corrupt. However, any other suggestions are welcome.
