  1. Some questions

    So, I'm on Windows 1909 18363.449 x64 and I have some questions:

    1. I can't disable some security and maintenance settings (the windows update, microsoft account, spyware and unwanted software protection, windows activation, device software, startup apps and homegroup [I thought Windows 10 had removed homegroup] ones since it won't let me click on them);
    2. I only have a power plan (the balanced one);
    3. Nothing happens when I copy certain folders to the Windows Sandbox;
    4. I have non-empty folders with an empty icon;
    5. My USB devices show up as "unspecified" on the control panel;
    6. How can I prevent my external HDD (and I guess other USB devices) from apparently shutting off since when I click on its letter it takes some time to show up its content and starts to make noise when accessing it (if I don't access it for sometime it will stop doing noise and if I click on its letter I'll have the same "problem")?
    7. Which focus assist's setting should I use since I don't want to have notifications and may I still have them if I don't touch focus assist (the same with leaving it with the priority only setting checked and not messing with the automatic rules' settings) after disabling notifications on "get notifications from apps and other senders" as well as the 5 below settings and on "get notification from these senders" below? And may I still have notifications if I don't touch focus assist (again, the same with leaving it with the priority only setting checked and not messing with the automatic rules' settings) and disable "get notifications from apps and other senders" as well as the 5 below settings and on "get notification from these senders"?

    Even after doing clean installs I still can't disable some security and maintenance settings (the ones I mentioned earlier), nothing still happens when I copy certain folders to the Windows Sandbox and the external HDD's still shuts off after some time.

    New here and seeking for help: problems with graphic card

    Thanks very much lilhasselhoffer. I'll start doing what you suggested step by step.

    One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

    Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.

  3. Local account installation question

    I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

    The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are
    • Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
    • No Internet connection during the install
    • static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

    Some questions

    Did our Epson printer get hacked?

    Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.
