    in the settings for my new acer nitro 5 spin laptop, the settings for lockscreen are unchangeable with the message "some settings are hidden or managed by your organisation" displayed. I don't know if its an error or if it has anything to do with the fact it was a display model before I purchased it but I really want it fixed. anyone have an ideas? and for some reason its stuck on windows spotlight. some settings are hidden or managed by your organisation 5f667af9-ce46-413c-96ac-44fb8b872800?upload=true.png

    The typical home PC is not so tightly locked down.

    In contrast my work PC is locked down tightly, more so than any other I've ever used. Most of the registry is locked. I cannot make changes in most locations in the registry. Only an admin can do so. I cannot install ANY programs. Only an admin can.

    The list is long. But this lockdown makes the PC more secure.

    The message that "settings are hidden or managed by your organisation" crops up when you try to do something that has been locked. There's really nothing you can do about it.
