Windows 10: Some spam messages show up only on Link to Windows but not on my Android phone app. How do...

I receive some messages on my Windows Phone Link app on my PC which I do not receive on my Android Galaxy S22 phone. I'm using the Google messaging app on my phone and do not have the Samsung messaging app installed. On Link to Windows I may hide these unknown spam messages but not delete them or block them. Since they don't appear on my phone I am also unable to delete them there. How do I delete and block these spam messages which only show up in my Link to Windows on my PC?

in the latest version of the Phonelink app on Windows v1.23032.196.0 (Phone Link 1.23032.196.0 on Android) - (at the time of posting these appear to be the latest versions)
messages that are marked by my phone as scams or spam, and get hidden away on the phone messages app, don't get hidden on the phone link app in Windows, so the list of text messages has scam/spam messages interspersed amongst normal messages, making it frustrating to use.

could the phone link app please be updated to support the hiding of messages that phones have automatically flagged as scams or spam?

At the moment, deleting messages isn't supported on the Phone Link app. Many people have asked for it.

I suggest you submit this feedback in Phone Link's settings > Feedback & Community.

However, a few people have tried a workaround on an Android phone.

1). Update both app from smartphone and from Windows.

2). Refresh Phone Link

3). Check archived and Spam SMS messages on the phone.

4). Refresh the Message android app.

5). Delete and reinstall the phone link in Windows store.

6). Uninstall and reinstall the phone link on an Android smartphone

7). Restart windows.

8). Restart android smartphone

9). Disconnect and reconnect the phone to PC.

Phone Link Messages Are Received, But Do Not Show on Phone or Desktop - Only For iOS Group Messages

Current Configuration & Functionality:

• Android Phone Connected to Phone Link Desktop App
  
• Using Native Android Messaging App on phone.
  
• All Messages 1 to 1 function as expected. (To & From, Android and iOS, Phone and Desktop App)
  
• Group Messages to other Android phone users function as expected. (To & From, Phone and Desktop App)
  

Issue:

Messages sent via the Desktop app to a group consisting of only iOS devices and my Android device, are not recorded in the app or on the phone.

Other Details:

• Messages are received by the other parties in the group.
  
• When sending message using the Phone only, all messages show on both Phone and Desktop App.
