Windows 10: Some W10 Update is preventing my HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 from working!

Ouch!

My HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 working wirelessly, stopped working.
What a coincidence after the 1809 upgrade!

I went to HP's support site hoping to upgrade the software package but noticed that it wasn't updated.

Printer is just out of warranty and they wouldn't help me. I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire package with the same result - no connectivity. However, When I downloaded the "HP Smart" app from the Microsoft Store, the printer was instantly recognized and worked fine, except that it didn't have all the HP tools that I wanted that should be available on HP's site.

I have an 8620, which should work the same way. I just installed the defaults from the HP install program.
Here is the Properties, Security section for my printer. I've blocked out my name.

 

HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 Not Working on Windows 10

My HP Office Jet Pro 8610 worked fine with Windows 10 until HP forced me to update my Printer. After the recent update it would no longer print giving me the message that the driver was unavailable. I solved the problem by removing the printer from my
device and manually installing through TCP\IP using the printer's IP address. This gave me the option on the list of printers to update the printer list. When I updated the list, this 8610 no longer existed on the list. I chose the HP Office Jet Pro 8000
A809 Series and it worked like a charm! Good Luck.
