Windows 10: Something happened 0x80070002 - 0x20016

Unfortunately, I went over and checked the URL to make sure I had it right, and I can't get anywhere on the site any more... Everything comes up as a 403 - forbidden. since it was something like software-download.microsoft.com it appears they've shut off access so I'm guessing Microsoft is still playing infuriating games rather than just letting people GET THE #$%T^Y&U*I download, install the software and get on with life.

Since both the 32-bit and 64-bit files were available there, SOMEBODY has to know where they are now and how to get at them directly...

 

Just for fun, I checked it. As of the moment (10:20 am EDT), it worked. I didn't download the .iso, but stopped one step before the actual download.

If it's not working for you, I can't explain it. Browser caches? Malware that tires to re-direct you to other sites? Should you change your handle to George Burns?

Bizarre.. But, I upgraded the fourth machine this morning, and although a bit slow 'cause it's right at the edge of having a wifi signal from the house, it worked fine..... So, everybody is on Windows 10...

 

That's because I went to the first link, TechBench, requested the specific builds, and then pasted the specific download links for you. *Smile

The solution I found was to sign on to an Administrators account and then run the Media Creation Tool. As you stated, 'Run as administrator' does not work. I tried many of the methods you did and they all failed. I signed into an Administrators account to do something else, and later thought to search for a solution online. I could not remember which 'Something Happened' error I was getting, so I ran the tool there, and BOOM! it worked.
