Windows 10: "something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again."

When I tried logging into my PC this morning this message appeared. I cannot click the option to reset the PIN. Nothing happens. The password option is usueless because the password I try is incorrect and I cannot reset it without a USB. I've tried everything. The only thing that's changed recently that for some reason my local account which I used with a PIN to log in to my PC was "merged" or overwritten with my Microsoft account which I used to log into Minecraft.

To help you disable your PIN login, kindly follow the steps below:

• Go to this location: Settings/Accounts/Sign-in options
• Check the PIN options and click the I forget my PIN available to click?
  
• Enter your password, it will prompt you to enter a new PIN.
• Click Cancel and your PIN should be disable upon reboot.

Since you have a Microsoft account, you should see this instead
Microsoft account sign-in options




If this doesn't work, there are other procedures available to consider.
--- Some of them include registry changes.
--- Are you familiar with working in the registry?

BTW, have you saved your data along with a system image backup ready?

"Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again". When I click on "setup PIN" it does nothing.

WIN 11 upgraded last night from WIN 10 by itself and now I can't get in to the PC. I only have one profile on the PC and I have tried a system fix in advanced options.

Does anyone have any suggestions?? Please help
