  1. Something taking up almost 100% of RAM

I have a problem that causes my RAM to constantly be at 90-97% while I really have 1/16GB in use. Upon opening Task Manager > Performance > Memory. I noticed that my non-paged pool was at 2GB.

I tried to enable ClearPageFileAtShutdown, restarted my PC, did not help.
I then noticed that SysMain was acting weird and possibly causing it.
SysMain had 'Very High' power usage but was not using much ram at all.

Disabling SysMain and restarting my PC fixed the issue and now I start with 18% instead of 97%
Then I stumbled upon this post. So now I'm thinking if there is anything else I could do so I can
enable SysMain again as soon as possible. What is weird to me is that it showed only 1/16GB in
use even though my memory load was almost maxed, and disabling SysMain still fixed the issue.

  2. Something is taking up RAM?

    Hi!!

Im having a problem that something is steadily using up more and more of my computers memory as I use it. I haven't even been using it for more than an hour today before having to restart it because 90%+ is being used on something that I just cannot find.

Just now before booting up chrome and posting this I'd restarted my pc, its gone from 18% memory to 30% and is still climbing, I have done nothing but open chrome.

When I look through task manager and resource manager nothing is using anything more than it should be. The highest uses are going to windows and discord (about 200,000 kbs each) which as I'm not tech savvy seems normal to me.

The service host processes are steadily climbing starting at around 10mbs each and ending up on 100+ each. Is that the issue?

I only got the computer about a month ago and up until then it has been fine. It's a gaming pc with 16gb of ram this shouldn't be happening when im not even playing games. Last night there was a driver update and since then my ram is just being consumed
    by something I cannot find.

    Something is taking up RAM?

    Thank you for responding!

Heres a list of the things I have already done:

    Disabled Cortana

    Disabled IP helper service

    Disabled Notifications

Ran Malware scans using windows securtiy and also Segurazo (antivirus that came pre-installed on my PC)

Uninstalled 2 likely programs ("chromium" and avast free antivirus - figured it might be conflicting with other antivirus software)

Checked for further windows updates (none found)

Checked windows security updates (none found)

Checked that PC is defragging (it is)

Was advised to disable Superfetch service - Was not listed with the other services nor found in command prompt so I dont think it's there.

    Restarted PC after every change.

Since posting my ram jumped up to 80% before I shut down and unplugged everything to see if that helped. It hasn't. After booting back up ram is still steadily going up again.
