Windows 10: son's account is linked incorrectly

My 11 year old son's microsoft account is linked to a persons account that i do not know. Yet the same account is linked to the correct 365 family account. I have chatted with an agent that can clearly see the issue but they directed me here to fix the problem.

The only way that could happen is if he was logged into your PC at some time or you were logged into his PC at some time or if you are sharing a Microsoft 365 account incorrectly.

On your PC, open the Settings App.

Open the Settings App.

Go to Accounts.

Select Emails and Accounts, is your son's Email listed there?

Select Access Work or School, is your son's Email listed there?

 

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
