Windows 10: Sony advise not to upgrade yet

sony site only decorative no updates forthcoming in fact advised me not to upgrade to win 10 yet

whats this first of all your icon appears in my laptop with upgrade and sony tell me this ****

disappointed tell me how to downgrade to windows 8.1

maybe Microsoft can come with Microsoft 9

 

Touchpad Drivers missing for Windows 10

Yes, look at the Sony Support Site which is still advising VAIO users not to upgrade to Windows 10, because it can't provide updated Windows 10 Compatible Drivers yet.

 

Sorry.. but that is pathetic. They had lots of time to get ready and now they're testing.

Note to self.. never buy a Sony PC.. EVER.

I installed on 30th July on my Sony Vaio notebook . Its running well but still need a couple of drivers "other devices/unknown device " don't even know what they are but they, r not stopping me doing anything .
Hey and I agree with you I will never buy another Sony .

 

I had a similar issue with an HP desktop. It seemed that they dropped support for that model and didn't update the drivers or chip-set past Win7. As a result, I had to get a new PC to use WIn10. Not that I didn't mind but that is a poor way to treat customers.

Just in case you have a sony and you hadn't saw this . Of course I never used due diligence when I installed w10 .

 

Can any of you seasoned users recommend a good custom laptop vendor . I used to build PCs but don't have the time now . Loved it too and miss the buzz . For the £700 I paid for the sony I could have bought a much better custom build I bet .

 

Dell, HP, Samsung.. Asus.. Acer

 

Surface Pro or Atom powered Surface with DOCK (keyboard / mouse - your choice / type cover / other)

 

ASUS is real good. My old X54C took the upgrade well and clean installs during the preview(I only needed to use a couple of drivers for Windows 8,.1 from example the keyboard).
