Sound Control Panel Missing Microphone Button

I recently purchased a new Dell laptop to replace my old Dell made in 2015. Of course, both use Windows 10. I record weekly podcasts and use a Yeti Blue USB mic and Audacity. In setting up the mic for the new machine, I learned I cannot monitor my recording input without a debilitating delay.

In my old system I went to "Sound Control Panel" > "Playback" tab > selected my device "Advanced USB Microphone" properties > "Levels" > and unmuted the "Microphone" button. This worked perfectly in my old system. My problem is that in the new system there is no "Microphone" slider or button to unmute.

    What I've tried already -

    - Removing / re-installing the mic in different USB ports

    - Updating installed drivers

    - Downloading Yeti's own driver

    - Rebooting multiple times

Also, I have already unchecked the "Listen to this Device" under "Recording" > "Device Properties" window. The old system and new system use the exact same driver for the exact same mic - the version numbers are identical.

Two others have posted with the exact same problem in the last 4 years with no apparent solution.

    Any fix for this?

    Thanks!

    :)

Stereo mix and line & mic at front or rear panel don't work too.

I somehow managed to get my headphone to play the same thing as my speaker at the same time but that's as far as i got.

    Hello,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community and providing us with the detailed description about the issue.

As per the description, I understand that you want to know how to access the control panel in Windows 10?

I certainly understand your concern and will try my best to help you.

I would suggest you to try the following steps to open the Control Panel in the system.
