Windows 10: Sound Drifting Out Of Sync With Video

Recently I've notcied the sound going out of sync on Netflix. Happens after 5 or 10 minutes, and is easily resolved by simply pausing for a second and restarting.

I've tried Netflix on two browsers and the same problem arises. I've also tried watching a private video on VLC and the same problem was there, although not as bad.

I have updated the drivers to my sound card (Intel(R) Display Audio and/or Realtek High Defintion Audio) and this did not fix the problem.

My suspicions are that it is probably related to the integrated graphics card (Intel(R) HD Graphics 530) however, since I have always had minor issues with it (screen going wonky whie browsing). I updated those drivers and the problem persists.

CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-6100 @3.7GHz

Am I looking at a hardware failture here?

The ODD also stopping working recently.

I just watched an hour long documentary on the Sky Go app and there was no syncing issues, which now suggest this might actually be a software issue after all.
