    Sound Fading In and Out as New Sounds are Introduced


    Hey there guys- new to this forum, but something has been bugging me beyond belief since I upgraded to Windows 10.

    My audio fades out whenever a new sound is introduced. As an example- I'll be listening to Spotify (loudly) and the moment I get a Facebook message (ding!) the music from Spotify greatly decreases (can barely hear it) and stays that way for (sometimes) up to a minute. Of course every time Facebook dings! me, it decreases any other sound.

    Anyone else having this problem? I've looked through the settings, looked on google, I don't see anything similar come up anywhere. It's extremely frustrating!

    Latest update killed my Audio.

    My sound fades in and out

    Checked my Playback devices. All is set correctly.

    Samsung Focus random stuttering and pausing at the end of songs

    Is there a chance this is related to the sound levels of the song? I've noticed it as tracks are fading out at the end of a song or during quiet passages.



    Edit: Nope, that's not it. It happens with songs that don't fade at the end.
