Windows 10: Sound from speakers stopped working

So sound on my computer has been working fine for as long as I’ve had it. I had an old ext-4 hard drive that I wanted to get at, and for the first time in years made an Ubuntu boot stick. Booted into Ubuntu to access hard drive, then went back to Windows.

Now sound is dead coming out of both speakers and headphone jack.

I have a Bluetooth receiver, and switched device over to that and that works fine - just internal speakers are no good.

Booted Ubuntu again - sound doesn’t work in Ubuntu either.

Updated windows, checked everything I can check - can’t figure it out. Bizarrely, system clock is way off too now. Shows me 9 hours ahead - even though time zone is correct in settings.

I don't have any options to change that. It's the only option there.

It's a desktop and I tried the suggestion to connect the speakers to the front - same result, sound still came from the computer.

Edit: I installed that driver and sound is still coming from computer. I checked to make sure it's set as default.

I got it! Somehow, after installing those drivers, it transferred it from the blue plug in (to plug the speakers in) to the yellow outlet or whatever it's called (on the back of the computer). I don't know why, as it's always been blue, and I tried the yellow and pink days ago and they didn't work. Weird, but at least it's solved. Thank you ever so much.
