Windows 10: Sound inputs not working.

This is a long one...

So the other day I picked up a pair of edifice 980t music speakers. I tested the speakers with my stereo system and they sounded fantastic. I plugged them into my pc, they didn’t work. I tried every speaker port on my pc, still didn’t work. I used an RCA to USB adapter, no luck. I completely wiped my computer. For one log on the speakers worked and so did my ASUS Realtek audio manager. I log back on today to find that they don’t work again. They are not detected when they are plugged in and turned on. I’m thinking the issue has to do with my Realtek drivers breaking on their own.

My motherboard is an LGA 1151 ASUS H310-c/csm board. The board has never failed me until my audio issue came along. I went to ASUS’s website and found the audio drivers. I tried installing every single audio driver, starting newest first. Still didn’t work. I also made sure to restart my computer after every install and uninstall. Five hours later of plugging and downloading, I’m still in the same place. I think I’ll have to wipe my computer again, but the issue keeps occurring. I’ve looked everywhere online and can’t find a solution. None of my headphones or headsets work on the audio jacks. The drivers are shot or something.

Any help is much appreciated, I’m running in circles here

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
