Windows 10: Space problem in hard drive

I recently upgraded to a new ssd with windows so my old window in my old hdd was not removed, so some how I renamed the files as windows.old and cleaned it. But only 20gb of unwanted space was removed.For instance in devices and drives it shows 43.1gb free out of 97.1gb. Means 54gb usedWhile I selected all files inside of disk D it's shows 24gb used.Then where is the remaining 54-24=30gb which one shown to be used.

Freeing up space on hard drive

Windows 7 has a nasty problem of eating up all disk space in the following two folders:

• C:\Windows\Logs\CBS
  
• C:\Windows\Temp
  

You can delete the contents of both directories without impact. Some files will not be able to be deleted because they are in use. You can skip those, and should not try to delete them.
