    Spatial Sound greyed out in Windows 11


    Recently bought a new pair of headphones so wanted to try out the dolby atmos but the spatial sound option has been greyed out in settings. Moreover, if I try to select windows sonic or dolby atmos in headphones settings, the option automatically switches to "Off". Kindly Help!!

    Spatial audio greyed out after the latest windows update

    I uninstalled the KB5022913 on the list and it did not solve the problem. Why does this happen in some of the latest updates from windows 11 that is so infuriating because of the spatial sound option that is greyed out on a specific sound output?

    Spatial Sound

    Hi,

    The Spatial Sound feature is available in Windows 10 but by default, it has been disabled. To enable it, follow the steps below:

    • In the notification area, right-click on the sound icon.
    • In the context menu, click on Playback devices.
    • Select your playback device and then click on Properties.
    • Click on the Spatial sound tab.
    • Select the Spatial sound format you want to apply.

    You didn't even read original topic and my comments.

    Spatial Sound is greyed out for speakers. It works absolutely fine for headphones.
