Windows 10: Speakers are plugged in and working but no sound. Windows 10

My speakers are plugged in its working fine when i plug it in my phone but when i plug it in my computer i dont hear anything theres this icon when i hovee over it says theres nothing plugged in but my speakers are plugged in never mind i think i fixed it

I have an HP laptop with windows 10. When my headphones are plugged in, the speakers are still playing. When I go to sounds, the only device listed is the speakers. How can I silence the speakers when the headphones are plugged in.

 

No sound from headphones but speakers work.
