What's the point of that Weather/News thing on my Taskbar?Can I get rid of it?It's a nuisance and I don't want it! Mouse over anywhere near it and it pops up all this 'news' and then I have figure out how to close the pane. }:[[ You reckon the 8 Gadget Pack doesn't work. Well, it does, except when the clock stops for whatever reason. Setting to time zone instead of computer time seems to help. I can't do anything about that with the gadget you force upon me! Cliff, there is no Gadgets in Windows 10. That's why I gave you series of steps to perform to try to find out where it came from, uninstall it, then install the preferred 8 Gadget Pack which works best.

Please go back and perform the steps I gave from the top.

 

W10 desktop system gadgets,any?

Winaero Tweaker (free) has Desktop Gadgets. I use Winaero tweaker, but have never tried the gadgets.

For a paid option, I would consider AIDA64 Extreme. It has an editable OSD, a sensor panel, and can even be viewed on your smart phone. It monitors... everything.

I mainly use the OSD (On Screen Display). You can choose what to show on the OSD from a huge list.
You can position it anywhere and even set it to be always on top of other windows.
