Windows 10: Speed of PC slowed since MAY updates

my pc seems to be SLOWER deleting folders from my DESKTOP


takes between 5 and 20 seconds to appear in recycle bin


same for deleting from recycle bin


Am using intel i7 9700k with 32gb ram


500gb SSD



NO earthly reason why it should be slowing down


recommendations pls????


have norton installed but its been perfect for years and NOT interferring with usage.


anyway to check whats using system resources undercover? maybe??

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?
• And also all by Jane La in the below: Microsoft Store Very Low Download Speeds

Some users have reported that they're experiencing some computer issues after installing KB4074588. In this case, we suggest uninstalling the said update by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + i to open Settings, then select
  Update & security.
• Click Update history.
• Under Update history, click Uninstall updates.
• Highlight KB4074588, then click Uninstall (beside Organize).

Slow Internet speed on only one computer.

Slow internet speed on one of your computer could be due to the following:

• Outdated network adapter driver
• Different Wi-Fi chipset
• Computer processing speed

Make sure that the network driver of your computer(s) are always updated.

We also suggest you to contact your internet service provider for them to check your internet connection speed and give you more information.
