Windows 10: Speedtest app by ookla

I don't suppose many use it other than in browser mode but is anyone having trouble updating the speedtest app from the store? All other apps updating ok but this app is producing an error code when trying to initiate download. I think k it must be at their end because both our machines are having same trouble

I'm in the boondocks with a broadband connection. The PC is windows 10. With Microsofts speedtest I show 3.3MBPS, while OOKLA shows .49MBPS. Whats up with that?

Usually folks complain about the speed of the Internet so we do use Ookla in a browser. I would imagine the 'app' would be an interface to do the same thing. And it probably is new so there usually will be problems.

 

Just checked and it's producing an error when trying to download, suggest try later maybe or stick to the web version.

 

Thanks for updating. I just booted to try again and it's now updated fine. I think it was an MS issue rather than the specific app.

 

For me its Kodi that currently is refusing to update.

 

I saw someone mention kodi on twitter, I tweeted ookla about the issue and someone tweet responded to say they are having problems updating other apps too (including kodi). So I guess all is not right at MS end.
