Windows 10: Spinning Dots of Doom

Building a new desktop (with Asus XII hero board), after the Win 10 Pro install, every boot I am stuck at the spinning dots of happiness for 15 or 20 minutes. I've run all updates, updated I believe all chipset drivers from Asus (minus one.. the one that said.. you can never uninstall it ever). Firmware is updated as well.

Anyone recently upgrade with an Asus and experienced this issue? Logs only show a hardware failure (error code 1), but no details. But still gets to logon screen, and works fine once I am in. Just the initial boot takes fooreeever. Any hints would be appreciated!

Other specs: 1080 I moved from my old desktop, 16 GB ram, 10850 Intel, an Asus WiFi adapter, that's about it. Big ol' air cooler on it (temps seem fine).

After an automatic update I am constantly getting the spinning dots during streaming to Hulu. Pausing and freezing was bad before but this is horrible. I am not very good at computers and have read other info in the community about the dots but I don't
understand most of what the solutions mean so if anyone has a suggestion please speak very simple computer dummy....

• Does this issue happen only when streaming with Hulu or with other websites also?
• Have you tried checking if your Internet connection is intermittent?
