Windows 10: Spotlight NOT showing Fun Tips on New Laptop. Is this default?

Hi everyone,
I have a new laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad) that does NOT show spotlight fun tips. I am on update 1909

It used to do so on my old computer ... and also allows me to rate the picture if i like it or not.

I have already read the various threads on clearing the cache, going into registry, etc. but nothing seems to work to "enable" the fun facts. I also noticed that the option to enable / disable fun facts is no longer an option on Spotlight in settings.

Is this a permanent feature now of Win10? Or is it just something wrong with the setup of the new computer?

Windows Spotlight doesn't show fun tips, tricks etc

I'm Abdulmajid,

I have been experiencing a problem on windows 10 spotlight lock screen, the issue is that I don't see the description about the current wallpaper. Note that the spotlight wallpaper does change everyday, there is no issue in that part. My problem is only
that the wallpaper i get don't have short descriptions like they used to be. The tips and tricks have already been turned on in settings.

I have run the following trouble shooting steps:

1) sfc /scannow on an elevated command prompt.

2) chkdsk on an elevated command prompt.

3) Deleting files in temp and prefetch folder.

4) Restarting the pc

5) Running disk cleanup

6) Defragging

Please don't ask me to clean install or refresh my PC as a solution. I don't want to create a new user account also.

Windows Spotlight "get fun facts, tips, tricks and more" feature is missing

Hi, my Windows Spotlight "Like what you see?" option ("get fun facts, tips, tricks and more" feature) is missing. My Windows version is 1709, Windows 10 Home edition.

How to clear the pre-login screen in Redstone 4 (Win 10 ver 1803) of all the "tips"?

From the more elaborate answer linked: choosing something other than "Windows Spotlight" for Background of the Lock Screen (in Settings > Personalization) makes the tips go away for me in Redstone 4.

N.B. Microsoft has docs on this too: Configure Windows Spotlight on the lock screen (Windows 10) It looks like the "fun facts" (official name of this tips feature) cannot be disabled in the Pro version without disabling the Spotlight altogether; I kinda liked Spotlight because it provides new images now and then, but the "fun facts" can be turned off in Enterprise and Education versions--it actually defaults to off in the latter (*)--while keeping Spotlight on (Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization > Force a specific default lock screen image > Turn off fun facts, tips, tricks, and more on lock screen).
