Windows 10: Squirrel setup

Discus and support Squirrel setup in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I stumbled just now in my 3-month old laptop a file I never saw before. It is SQUIRREL SETUP.     Squirrel setup


    I stumbled just now in my 3-month old laptop a file I never saw before. It is SQUIRREL SETUP. Google did not provide info I was looking for...like how did it just appear in my system, who installed it and why. I am leaning instinctively to deleting it. Please advise.

    Squirrel SQL Error occcured initialising plugin

    The solution followed this suggestion from the authors to remove the relevant config files for each failing plugin in my case in the subfolders under

    Apparently it doesn't like an empty file or a null/EOF character encoded in a particular way.

    Need Serious Help: How To Record Video of What is Done on my PC?

    I suggest the following simple steps:

    1. Set the autosave options in MS Office to a low value say 5 minutes.
    2. Setup file history to autosave frequently - the shortest period is 5 mins
    3. Install Macrium Reflect Free and configure it to do a daily incremental system backup

    You should be well covered if you do the above to protect your key files.
