  1. SSD not detected

    Hi,

hope someone can offer me some advice. I tried all sorts of things.

my initial problem was missing boot Devive install recovery disk After a water spillage.

I have downloaded the recovery disk from

lenovo But kept having trouble completing the installation.

I am puzzled as When I enter bios via F2 it says hard disk not detected.

but when I enter bios via NOVO button it’s shows the SSD.

    the boot tab shows

    boot mode EUFI greyed out

    Fast Boot enabled

    USB Boot enabled

    IOV4 PXE first enabled

    EFI in grey

EFU USB Device USB. As I have left the usb in.

I won’t do a system restore via NOVO button nothing happens.

I have now downloaded windows 10 on to the usb and tried to install windows that way but when I click on set up install Now

I click on custom and there nothing for Me to select where I want to install windows.

I then go back and try repair your computer on the install now page which brings up Troubleshoot or turn of your PC options start a repair says couldn’t repair your PC.

i then tried the command prompt and typed diskpart and the list disk and nothing comes up apart from The usb.

I have taken the SSD out and gave it a gentle wipe and it all looked ok And put it back in. There is HDD only an SSD.

Is there anything else i can do? Can i try and replace the SSD install a HDD or i am just wasting my time trying and better off looking for a new laptop?

    thank you

    :)

Can't detect SSD when Installing windows10

    Hi,

Incorrectly configured BIOS settings may cause your SSD not to be detected.

For us to properly isolate and provide a suitable resolution, we'll be needing additional information:

    • Does your gaming laptop have HDD and SSD?
    • Is your SSD a SATA or M.2?
    • Were you trying to reinstall Windows 10?
    • Can you send us a screenshot of the BIOS setting?

    Looking forward to your response.

Windows 10 Does not detect SSD

    Hi

This depends on model to model of the motherboard. Typically you restart your device and press del (or sometimes a different key like F1, etc.) to go into it. This lists all the settings for the motherboard.

Inside the BIOS there is typically one which lists your drives and the boot order. We need to check if the disk is listed in there. If it’s not then I’d suggest firstly checking and replacing the cables, moving to a different SATA port if possible. After that
it may be the SSD is faulty.

    Kind regards,

    Carl.

    Windows phone is not detecting

    Hi Vijay,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to connect the phone to another computer and check if it gets detected. Also, check if the phone gets detected by connecting with a different USB cable.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

    • Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
    • Click on “hardware and devices”.
    • A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.

Hope the information is helpful. Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.
