    A recovery partition is at least a few 100 MB large, it is probably added after you install the Creators Update from the unallocated space.
     

  2. Yeah I planned on making one, I downloaded the ASUS recovery, just haven't gotten then far lol.

    The Recovery Partition is the one Windows Back Up uses, I believe.
    If the manufacturer has it's own Recovery Partition they can add it on in addition to the Windows one.
    I believe that if you are making your own backup images, using 3rd party tools like Acronis or Macrium, then you do not need any or both recovery partitions, although it is always a good idea to give Windows what it wants or it could throw a snit.

    I also think, given the troubles you just had, that it might be best to leave well enough alone!
