  1. SSD won’t format, wipe, anything

Rust on steam was consistently crashing. i updated all drivers and problem still occurred. after opening steam it shows an invalid platform error. then randomly the D: file will just disappear. chkdsk came back completely clean before it disappeared. not it says disk is raw but will not let me reformat. it will also not let me wipe it to try to format it. i absolutely cannot figure this out.

    :)

    Can't delete/wipe/format my ssd.

Hi CatalinArmasaru, I am honored to receive your consultation, I will try to help you solve this problem!

According to your description, ssd has a problem. Would you like to confirm whether ssd can still be used?

First of all, I suggest carefully checking the SSD interface and connecting line to confirm that it is not a connectivity fault.

Next, I suggest using several methods to confirm ssd

1, Windows low-level formatting command format again

Right-click the Start button (Microsoft icon button) →Windows Terminal (Administrator),

    → Input:

    diskpart

    list disk

select disk #(#refers to the hard drive letter you want to format)

    clean

    create partition primary

format fs=ntfs quick (If you want t,ou can also change ntfs to fat32)

    exit

    2. The third-party tool DiskGenius formatting, please refer to the software description for the method.

If it still can't work after this treatment, it is recommended to send it to a professional organization for repair or abandonment.

I hope the above advice helps you! If not solved, please feed back relevant information and pictures

    SSD won’t format, wipe, anything

Completely wipe an SSD including Windows 10

If I plug the SSD into my new PC, will the 2 versions of Windows 10 on each of them clash and cause an issue?

    - Nope.

And once I put the SSD into my new PC, how would I go about completely wiping its contents and Windows 10 off of it?

    - Open File Explorer and go to the "This PC" section

    - Right-click the drive you want to erase and choose "Format" in the list

    - Use the default settings and just click OK to format (erase) the drive
