Windows 10: Start menu freezes

    Start menu freezes


    The start menu freezes and its really pain I need to restart the computer since once it freeze the whole machine cant be access. I need hep on this. No updates pending on my machine so updates will not help. The only thing help is restarting the whole machine, but it is time consuming.

    Windows 10 Start menu is empty

    Hi. Steps 1 and 2 didn't do much but step 3 has restored what looks like the list of original Microsoft apps but no sign of any of the many apps I have installed. And there are no tiles in the start menu. Any suggestions please?

    Start menu and Cortana not working/freezes?

    I had this issue about two weeks ago ("Critical Error -- Start menu and Cortana aren't working. We'll try to fix it the next time you sign in."). At that time I tried the steps you listed above and it worked but now those steps are no longer working.
    Do you have any other suggestions? I have been having various issues with Windows 10 ever since I converted from Windows 7. But this is the worst problem.
