  1. Start Menu is Not Working at all 12-16-18

    The START menu is not showing up at all. Nothing happens when you hit the WINDOWS START button either with the mouse on the screen or the keyboard WINDOWS button.

    THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE.

    1. Everything is up to date. Windows is fully updated.

    2. I checked the tablet settings and tried multiple options there. Nothing is working.

    3. It is in desktop mode - not tablet mode (I tried both) and the START menu is not showing up at all.

  2. Start menu not working

    I found the following article, ran the suggested powershell command and my start menu is working again. Here it is as I found it:
    Go to Start menu button and right click on it. This will open the contextual menu, after which you need to select Command Prompt (Admin). Once Command Prompt is open, go ahead with the following steps.

    • Type and enter: Powershell
    • Type the following: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
