Windows 10: Start menu, live tile area, does it scroll right?

Unfortunately I'm not at home to test this. I am still getting to grips with Windows 10 after coming from 7. When you add tiles to the right hand side of start menu I notice you can scroll down as you add more & more. But can you keep adding more tiles horizontally and scroll right? In the short time I looked at it this didn't seem possible and that you could only do a vertical scroll. I know I can re-size the visible area to give more space to it but I kind of like keeping it reasonable size and having the option to scroll

Windows Live E-mail as Tile on Nokia 822?

swipe left to show your applications screen.

scroll down to the "L" area

you should see "Live" as an email tile there.

tap and hold that tile and a sub-menu will appear.

select pin to start.

now it is on your launcher screen

 

Is there any way that one can readjust the width of the traditional start menu?

Is there any way that one can readjust the width of the traditional start menu? (i.e. reduce the area of live tiles and increase the width of the list of programs)?

 

For now, so far I know, it's no more than 3 columns wide.
