    "Start" menu not working

Hi all, on a brand new upgrade from Windows 8, the start icon in the lower left corner does not respond to left button mouse clicks. It does see the mouse over and responds to right button clicks. Also when trying to pin an icon to the taskbar, it does not respond to a right click. The logged in user is an administrator. I have re-booted several times. Can someone help with this issue? Thanks, Jim

    :)

  2. N79; can't run " home media " menu

    sawatdee krap,

maybe because you havent set any connections for "home media". i think it needs to connect with your computer. you also need to install SimpleCenter's Home Media Server software on your PC

maybe this will help you -

    N79; can't run " home media " menu

I'm in Thailand . I just buy N79 , but I have found my phone can run " home media " menu. When I go to " home media " menu it's push back to "connectivity" menu .

When I go to Nokia Care center . They said All N79 was bug as this. Wait to upgrade firmware as now it's already new as 10.046

    Please share information with me

    "Start" menu not working

Hello, sorry to hear that.. join the many who have or are experiencing that (but far more don't).

    Please see
    Taskbar/Start button not working! - Page 14 - Windows 10 Forums
    - you can read the whole lengthy thread if you like of course.

Do not run Powershell commands to try to fix it.. they break apps since build 10586 in November.

There will be a good number of similar threads where this has been discussed, so please feel free to search the forum and then post back if not solved.

Please note that Win 10 is relatively fragile as regards its newer features- e.g. Cortana, universal apps, start menu. A clean install is more likely to result in fewer problems.

Do turn on System Restore (off by default) and 3rd party disk imaging, regularly updated, is strongly recommended so you can restore your system to a previously working state in, say, <30mins without technical help.

    Good luck

    Hello Jim,

There are a lot of reports of this happening. The cure seems to vary from one person to the next.

In your case if it is a fresh upgrade you may not have a restore point set for you to do a system restore but this is always the first thing to try. Next thing to try would be to create a new user account and see if it is OK. If it is you can swap all your files over to the new account and continue with that.
