    Start OneDrive automatically when I sign in to Windows option appears unchecked after each restart following any update. That simple!


    I've found some pages dealing with apparently related issues, but I do prefer to start a thread here instead of messing in the registry alone! I've two instances of OneDrive running on my XPS 13 9370 laptop, fully updated, both Windows 10 and Dell drivers and Bios.


    After each restart following an update, I need to manually launch OneDrive. If I check that option (see picture below), if a new restart doesn't imply an update, OneDrive starts automatically. If I restart after any update, I've to manually launch OneDrive and set the automatic start option again.

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    The Setup box is still appearing, asking for my e-mail. F.Y.I. The Start OneDrive automatically box is STILL unchecked. Unlinking, causes the OneDrive Setup box to pop-up again.
