Windows 10: start up black screen

Following an update 2 days ago my start up page for my account will not load and is black with a flashing timmer and cursor. I can access my computer through a spare account but not as admin.

Please help?

Black screen after 'Starting Windows' sequence

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

They, also, have some other options there, too.
Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.
