Windows 10: Start WIN 10 without password or PIN

I have previously always set up WIN to start without a password or PIN, even though I do have a password. I am the only user or account on the computer.


After WIN 10 reinstall and updates, my laptop is now requiring a password.


The usual advice is to run netplwiz and uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a password...". But that box is not checked.


How do I get WIN 10 Pro in its current version version 20H2, build 19042.928, updated though 4/19/21 to automatically log me in or start without a password


All I get from MS tech support are generic suggestions about scans and updates.

Microsoft Account PIN and password

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.

PIN at start up

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to Change PIN password:

• In the search box, type settings.
• Then Click on accounts.
• Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
• Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.

Have PIN for Windows 10 but need Windows password
