Windows 10: Startup apps option is missing from settings but it is in Task Manager.

Since a month or so, I have been trying to find a solution but I can't find it. I have tried methods like sfc and DISM scan. I have also deleted and remade the folder for startup apps but nothing helps. Though it is missing from settings, I can still find it in task manager. Is it due to a windows update? If not what should I do so that the setting re appears.

I already have a scheduled task for it, but it is not listed in that active tabs summary list.

If it matters, it does run when finding it in the task manager library, right clicking and selecting "run".

I didn't find anything in it's Task Manager properties for "run at startup". All my scheduled tasks were only set up to avoid the "User Account Control" permission.

Actually, I like your suggestion as a first step.

Unchecking the wrong thing in Autoruns can brick a system.

This is a bug reported by some people in Windows, where the startup apps do not appear on Task Manager.

Open the Settings App, then go to Apps - Startup

Can you see a list of startup apps there?
