  1. static realtek speakers

I spent 2 years trying to clear static from my speakers on both an Inspiron and a XPS..2 days ago I found a realtek driver at realtek/hippo that when installed brought sparkling clarity to the speakers..yesterday Windows update spent about 12 hours in updating my win 10 on this computer an inspiron 5559-64 bit. Guess what, t the update scrapped my fix and reinstalled driver 6.0.1.8142, which never worked, is back and low and behold , static which wipes out most sound , is now back.

Sometimes I wonder if these people know what they are doing...By the way the driver that works with this audio is of 2013 vintage vintage and can be found at realtek if anyone interested

Still have'nt found a fix for the XPS.

    :)

  3. Static noises from audio on windows 10. Also headphones get confused for speakers.

My audio is making horrible static noises. I have tried reinstalling realtek hd audio drivers both manually and from the device manager, doesen't work. I have tried running the trobuleshooter and turning of audio enhancements, that didnt work either.

Switching to generic high definition audio fixes it most of the time, but not always, sometimes it still shows up.

Also the headphones and speakers are switched, if I plug in headphones they are not available as an audio option, however when they are not plugged in they are listed there. If using realtek, it will
rapidly switch beetween headphones and speakers, unless headphones are plugged in (in which case they are reacted to as speakers).

    This
started to happen just a few days ago, it worked fine for a long time. I think this was due to an update, however it seems to stop working at random (for example yesterday reatek worked fine, but then it
completely randomly started making lound static in the middle of a video.

  4. static realtek speakers

Windows 10 and Realtek Audio Drivers

I have the exact same issue. ASRock Z68 Extreme 7 Gen3 motherboard. Using on-board audio controller which is listed as Realtek 7.1 Ch HD ALC892 Codec. I have tried going to a completely bone-stock windows installation and am now getting a kind of "static"
from the speakers. If I turn it all the way up I can faintly hear a sound being played in the static. At this point, no realtek specific drivers installed.
