Windows 10: Steam Games auto adjusting microphone gain

I use a Rode USB mic and in some games windows will automatically adjust the gain to 100% when launching, i have looked everywhere for an answer on how to stop this but nothing ever works.

i never had this happen on Win 7 so i’m assuming its a win 10 issue

Is there a way i can just prevent windows from auto adjusting the gain or lock it at 60%

Microphone Auto Adjusting

Okay, so I am having a problem with my microphone auto adjusting no matter what I have tried.

It's getting really difficult to deal with at this point and I'm not sure how to get it to stop. It's affecting me every time I want to talk to someone on Discord or on the other online games I play. I just want the microphone recording setting to be set
at 70, but it I'm not certain how to lock it in place, or know if you even can do that.

 

Problem with microphone adjust.


When iam using microphone and speaking the volume of the microphone being lower.
1.I've removed auto-adjust from skype.
2.I have the latest version of realtek audio.
3.I have the latest driver version of my microphone.
4.Selected "Do nothing" at "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Sound".

still auto adjusting the microphone and no one can hear me good.
How can i unadjust the microphone?

 

Microphone keeps auto adjusting

Hi all,

Since installing Windows 10, I've had this constant problem with my microphone (Samson C01U) where it keeps auto adjusting depending of how loud I'm being, never happend before with Windows 7.

I have turnt off auto adjust on every bit of software I can think of but it still continues.

Any ideas of how to fix.

Any help is appreciated
