Windows 10: Sticky Notes default/change font

For more than 2 years the engineering team has been listening to our requests.


Nothing.


They say they care about what their users say.


Nothing.


Why are you so stubborn and do not give us the ability to change or set a different default font for Sticky Notes? It cannot be that difficult.


I am a developer and non proportional fonts are best suited for code snippets or tabular data. Having to do registry hacks or typing in Notepad (which allows setting a different font) to cut-and-paste into Sticky Notes is asinine.


After experiencing the debacle of Me and 8, Windows 10 is an absolute joy to use. But there are still little pain points that are easy to solve and would make your users so much happier.

Changing default font of Sticky Notes (in Win10)

There is no specific settings for the font Change for the sticky notes. However,
Paste pre-formated text into Sticky Notes. If you type in Microsoft Word in your favorite
font and then paste it into the Sticky Notes window all the
font settings are preserved. So one way to get your favorite
fonts with all the formatting into the Sticky Note is to simply copy and paste.

Is the issue specific to only sticky notes?



Kindly follow the steps to change screen resolution and check if it helps:

• 
  Right click on the desktop and select display settings.
  
• 
  Go to advanced display settings.
  
• 
  Then select “recommended resolution” under
  resolution option.

Can I change Windows X Sticky Notes DEFAULT font size?

Hi Adam,

You do have an option to increase or decrease the default font size on your
Windows Sticky Notes. There's no need to highlight the new text as you can apply the changes on the succeeding texts.

To do that, follow the steps below:

• Open a sticky note first.
• Press Ctrl+Shift+> to increase the font size to your desired size and the texts you're going to type will appear as desired.
  
• To have the texts in smaller font size, press Ctrl+Shift+ <.

You can also do both in one sticky note. Just press either Ctrl+Shift+> to have bigger text, then
Ctrl+Shift+< if you want to shift to smaller texts.
