Windows 10: Sticky Notes is Crashing | Version 3.0.120.0

Hi

I am using Surface Book 2.

The Sticky Notes version after recent update of November 18, 2018 is MISBEHAVING!

The screen presence is not more than 20 seconds. Current Version is 3.0.120.0


I have tried repair using the Settings>App>repair

The only option looks like is to uninstall and to reinstall. (Typical Microsoft problem). I am afraid that I will loose all my notes.


I tried to signing for synchronizing but it is not going beyond selecting the email account. After that, the app crashes.


I have recently moved from Chromebook to Surface Book.

I am sure this is some update issued without a proper fix by the Sticky Notes Engineer.


Let's see if this can be resolved without me loosing my data.


NOTE : All of my notes are handwritten using the pen.

Sticky Notes 2.0.5.0 cpu usage 100%

I had the same problem with ridiculous CPU usage. I closed off sticky notes and removed it from my taskbar. Then I relaunched, repinned to taskbar, checked task manager, and it had gone down to 0.

If that doesn't work , here are 3 options:

• Use the sticky notes in chrome web store
• Choose another sticky notes app from the windows store
• Create a to-do list document and put it in the middle of your desktop screen

 

Sticky Note Update

Hi Joey,

To disable Insights on Sticky Notes, please follow these steps:

• Open Sticky Notes.
• Click on the Menu (3-dots) button.
• Click on the Settings button.
• Turn off Enable insights.
