Windows 10: stisvc missing

could this be the reason my pc is crashing sometimes?and if so, how do i fix it?specifically it is turning off not not properly shutting down and then it turns it self back on

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Have had these issues since upgrading to Win 10 in late Oct 2015. I've had this particular error 6 times, plus 2 in WIA starting on 11/28/15

System restore would go back at least that far, assuming I have a point that old.

I had difficulty installing the big "Nov update." A representative sampling of all errors since Win 10 upgrade below. (Note: Does not include Office 365 & Adobe CC 15 errors) FYI, mentioned the Office errors because they occured in File Explorer and
in case they were related to the graphics card not playing well.

Stisvc error causing random pc restart

The stisvc errors are caused by an "unknown module":

Faulting application name: svchost.exe_stisvc, version: 10.0.19041.1, time stamp: 0x7f0c4c00

Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000

stisvc is the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service.

Something is causing this service to stop.

It may be a component of a Canon printer/scanner driver.

This was also logged in the Event Logs:

PrintService - The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module CNMLMBV.DLL, error code 0x7E. See the event user data for context information.

CNMLMBV.DLL is a Canon module.

Is there presently a Canon printer installed?

If so, which one and is the latest drivers for the printer installed?
