Windows 10: STMicroelectronics 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer Driver Causing Video Playback Issues?

Hi everyone, to keep things short I wil summarise the issue i had.


Initially I had the STMicroelectronic 3d Accelerometer driver installed however it started giving me a code 10(driver cannot start). As such, I replaced it with the driver listed in the title. But now I am unable to play videos offline(completely). I can still watch online videos but they are not smooth(initially it wasn't working well either but I improved it)


Can anyone suggest to me what I shall do? Because I am completely out of ideas. Thanks in advance.


note - I am not 100% sure if the new driver is the cause of the issue as I had a dell employee mess around with my laptop for hours with no result. It is a dell xps 15 9570.

Windows 10 buid 1709 update not installting

An event occurred in which Mr. Miyaji of my acquaintance displayed a similar error screen.

After trial and error we said that the event was resolved by uninstalling STMicroelectronics' driver from the program and functions.

He said that he planned to reinstall the above driver after upgrading 1709.

video playback freeze for a split second with a buzzing sound about every 20 to 30 seconds

• Which application you are using to play the video?
• What is the format of the videos you are trying to play?
• Does this happens with all other videos as well?

This issue might be due to outdated or corrupted graphic card drivers. Let's try the below steps and check if it helps:

Step 1: Run Video Playback Troubleshooter.

I suggest you to run the Video Playback
Troubleshooter. Follow these steps to run
Video Playback troubleshooter:

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar and select it.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Video Playback
  troubleshooter.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update your graphic card drivers.

I suggest you to update graphic drivers and check if it helps. Follow the steps given below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X key and click on
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Search for Display Adapters.
  
• 
  Right-click on the graphics
  card and click on Update driver software.

Seconded - just the Accelerometer driver

Seconded with extraordinarily many thanks to mrsmith988 and Delta101 - just reinstalling the win8 driver for the accelerometer has me able to sleep and resume again! Thanks so much.
