Stop Creating Recycle Bin and System Information in USBs

    Hi Guys,

I hope I've asked this in the right channel.

Through googling, I found a tutorial on how to prevent Windows from creating Recycle Bin and System Information folder in USBs by using the Group Policy Editor. Since I'm on Windows 10 Home edition, I do not have the Group Policy Editor. Therefore, I found another tutorial to create it. Unfortunately, I am having problems:

    1. In the newly installed Group Policy Editor, I need to navigate to

Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Search.

The thing is, I can only go as far as Windows Components, there is no Search. Does anyone know what I should do to proceed?

    2. If there is another way to stop Windows 10 Home creating Recycle Bin and System Information folder in external drives, please advise. I would be very grateful.

Hope to hear from you Guys soon.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Andrew

    My apologies Guys,

I have since found an alternative.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Andrew

    :)

    Recycle bin icon is missing

Thanks to information on this topic on The Windows Club website I created a new folder on the desktop and named it:

    Recycle bin.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

This created an official Recycle Bin. The files I had deleted prior to when the bin disappeared were still there. Now I can finally empty my recycle bin.

  3. How to empty external drive using recycle bin on Windows 10 computer.

This is just plain wrong. Windows itself creates folders called RECYCLED, RECYCLER or $Recycle.Bin (depending on the version) on larger external drives. I've never seen any manufacturer created/embedded Recycle Bins so far.
