Windows 10: Stop Photos from updating. Permanently.

Is there any way to stop the Photos app from automatically updating? I really do not want to use the current version especially as it's weighed down with pointless, broken and intrusive "AI" junk as I despise the way it functions. I tried blocking updates in the store. It ignored this.I have tried changing registry entries. It ignores them.I removed the Store completely. It makes no difference.I removed access to the folder where Photos lives to me and me only. No change.Photos Legacy is marginally better, but the version I want to run is 2022.30070.26007.0 and I now have the installa

This issue often caused by a corrupted files. For us to have your Photo app working, we suggest that you restore Photos app package by following these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type PowerShell, and select Windows PowerShell
  from the list of result.
• Type this command and press Enter:
  • Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
• Restart your computer. Check if the issue persists.

Photos / Edit Stopped Working

This seems to be a hiccup with the application's software. What you can try is to do the following steps which will reset the internal state of the Photo app:

• Press Windows button + R.
• Type: %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
• Delete all the contents of that folder
