    Stopcode : Driver Power State Failure


    From a 2/3 days ago my laptop keeps crashing (for no apparent reason), eventually with bluescreen and Error message - Stopcode : Driver Power State Failure.


    I tried running Malwarebytes and AVG both of which crashed and shut down before finishing.


    I tried again in Safe mode and it happened again. (Malwarebyte crashed just before 14 minutes).

    So I tried running Mailware bytes again but this time I video'd the screen while it was running to catch the point of crashing.

    The last item scanned "Windows\installer\24E6F266.MSP" and then crashed.

    In the driver settings, all the settings for speakers had yellow triangular icon with an explanation mark.

    I am going to try deleting each of these, if not at least disable them. (When I ran trouble shooter specifically on these settings, they all reported ok, clicked to update them but report came back saying that they were the best ones.)


    I don't know if any of this helps to solve the problem. There does not seem to be any solutions offered to the many others who have had the same issue. Maybe there has been solutions given in the forum but I haven't seen any.


    I would appreciate any help.

    the driver itself or power settings.

    driver power state failure

    On start-up my Microsoft Surface Pro often needs to restart, giving 'driver power state failure' as the reason.

    I've tried to go to windows.com/stopcode to resolve the issue, but I couldn't seem to find what I needed to do - any help would be gratefully received.
