First, if you have not done so, REGISTER THAT CARD.

Just in case you're looking at an RMA.

PSU supplies >80Amps on the 12+ rail, so you're good there. The card shouldn't need more than ~30Amps I believe.

Closely inspect the inside of your machine for moisture damage. One of the water coolers could be very slightly leaking. I had an H100 destroy a brand new NVidia card which was out of warranty. (installed custom cooling... >_<)

Well I swapped drivers - now using the 15.8 beta drivers. Anyway all was good until a couple of days ago when the card artifacted again. What was odd is that turning the monitor off and on again got rid of the artifacts. Also, swapping cables - from HDMI to DisplayPort didn't help either.

BTW you can see this thread with included YouTube clip to see what I'm talking about - Reddit.com - Sapphire AMD R9 Fury Artifacting (More Info in Comments)

With that, doing a bit of internet research, it appears this may be a driver as reported in some reviews...

    - AMD Radeon R9 Fury X review (paragraph just above "Grand Theft Auto V" heading)

    - Catalyst 15.7 WHQL Performance Analysis Featuring Fury X & 290X (second paragraph below chart)

It’spretty sad that a $560+ dollar card can’t be reliably used cause at any time it may artifact in desktop mode due to driver issues *Shock

Oh, and yes, I did check the power supply cables and all is good there.

Thanks Mike but I don't download GPU drivers from anyone but the manufacturers site. My attitude is if they're not on their site, they're questionable. That said, it appears AMD is actually telling people to stay away from them...

At any rate I'm praying for a driver fix, but I'm staying away from those *Huh

BTW those 15.9 beta drivers are posted on AMD's site as well - AMD Catalyst™ Driver. Still not touching them though.

  5. Well lol... it looks like I'm having the issue again. After several weeks no problem, then it artifacted when i opened firefox. It does seem to be an issue with the fury cards. Not sure if it needs better drivers or even a vbios update.

  6. Looks like they updated that beta driver to 15.9.1 and it fixes the memory leak issue. Gonna try that.
