    STRICT SAFE SEARCH

I have had my laptop checked by a professional, and it is all working.

But I still CANNOT get this strict safe search removed.

I'm using Microsoft edge, windows10 and I'm unable to disable safe search on any search engine I use like google or bing.

I have even tried the new account set up., and all other tips I can find.

There is NO choice of safe search to go off or on,

I get the message "your current bing safesearch setting filtersout results that might return adult content"

It is all getting VERY tedious now, and have no idea what else I can do.

    Can anyone help please?

    :)

  2. Safe Search set to strict in Internet Explorer

    Hello Narayan,

I suggest you to follow the steps below on how to change your Bing Safe Search settings:

    Go to
    Weiße Nächte

    • Click the Gear (Preferences) icon towards the top right side of the page.

    • In the SafeSearch section, select your desired setting:

    • Strict – Filter adult text, images and videos from your search results.

    • Moderate – Filter adult images and videos but not text from your search results.

    • Off – Don’t filter adult content from your search results.

    • Click Save
    Hope the information is helpful.

  3. Cannot set safe search to strict with policy manager

We have implemented restriction policies for Windows Phone to our MDM solution. Everything else seems to work fine but we can't set the safe search mode to strict.

We set the value of ./Vendor/MSFT/PolicyManager/My/Search/SafeSearch to 0 (strict), and when we use get command to see the current value, it also states that our provider's safe search value is 0. However, when we check the value of ./Vendor/MSFT/PolicyManager/Device/Search/SafeSearch,
it ALWAYS returns 1 (moderate). It doesn't matter if we've set the safe search restriction via our provider at all. Even when we use the phone itself to change the value to strict, it still returns 1.

When we set the safe search mode to strict from the phone itself, search results are filtered even though the get command returns 1. But when we use our provider to change the mode, results are not filtered.

So, is this a bug or is there something we should do differently?

The device is a Nokia Lumia 625, firmware version 8.10.14219.341.
