Windows 10: Stub received bad data

When ever i open cmd it says Stub received bad data

:)

 

The stub received bad data.

We have all the same problems - The stub received bad data, crashing services when windows update start.

Yesterday kb3189866 was installed, win 14393.187, and today I have the same - The stub received bad data, crashing services in system log.

I have manually disabled Delivery Optimization Service. Testing.

Location is not available or The stub received bad data error

If either of the following errors occur:

Restore the Desktop to its default settings:

• Open file explorer
  
  • Close the error window that is shown
• Browse to the user’s folder
  
  • Example: C:\Users\username >> where username is your username
• Right click on the Desktop
  
  • Select ‘Properties’
  • Click on the ‘Location’ Tab
    
    • The text box should look similar to the screen shot below
    • Click the ‘Find Target’ then ‘Restore Default’ Button
    • Click ‘OK’

• Restart the Laptop
  
  • All desktop items should be reset and the error should be eliminated at this time
