Windows 10: Stuck in BIOS Loop After Being Locked Out

Two weeks ago, system boot files apparently got corrupted which resulted in me having to reinstall Windows 10. Attempts at using a restore point or start up repair were unsuccessful. The reinstall happened. It was fine until this morning.


This morning I attempted to access my D drive,which I can do use all of the time, and it said it was inaccessible. I looked up some fixes, changing accessibility in security preferences etc, none of it worked. Failed to enumerate. I attempted to restart the computer but found that it wasn't actually turning off. So I tried turning it off and it still didn't do so. So I let the fake restart finish and did a hard shut off using the regular power button. When it was off, I switched the I/O switch off in the back. Turned the switch back on, hit the power button and now I am stuck in an infinite BIOS loop.


I have tried opening my shell to make sure everything is securely fastened and connected. I have tried restoring the BIOS to defaults. I have taken the CMOS Battery out and replaced it after a few minutes. Still stuck.


I had one last folder of stuff to back up today, and they are very important files, so I cannot wipe my drives entirely. Please help!

Stuck in Windows 10 Upgrade

My computer seems to be stuck in a Windows 10 failed upgrade loop. I was running fine on a beta version of Windows 10, and then I came downstairs one morning to see it repeatedly booting, attempting to repair, then rebooting. The steps I've taken to diagnose are:

• Attempting to boot off a USB drive (with all drives disabled in BIOS) - this fails at the point of the blue windows screen
  
• Attempting to boot the machine itself and getting into "repair/safe mode" using F7
  
• Looking at the BIOS for obvious failures (e.g. RAM that should be there is missing) - nothing obvious is wrong.
  

I am fairly certain the build version was 9926. For many months, the system would attempt to upgrade, and then say "it failed" for some reason and roll back.

Suggestions for next steps?
